Hello all,

can anyone help me. I had a new clutch fitted end of last year(and slave), this last weekend when i am driving it around it keeps making a whirring noise but only when im in gear and not accelerating(e.g. coasting or breaking). when i accelerate or put the clutch in the noise stops. its coming from the front (gearbox/propshaft area). also when changing hear it sounds a lot more clunky.

anyone got any ideas on this?

Thanks

It could be the spigot bush. Mine does it, but only when it’s cold.

+1^. Was going to suggest thrust bearing but that usually only makes a noise when you push on the clutch.
When you get the box off to fix it might as well change both unless you did the TB when you did the clutch.
