Hi, I'm glad you asked rather slowly due to one thing & another. I've got the IRD out & just today I've removed torque converter bolts & slackened the remaining bell housing bolts so I'm nearly ready to get the g/box out. The engine or g/box must have been out before as the closure plate is kinked (see pic).
A question if I may, will the torque converter come out with the g/box or does it try & drop out if you're not careful? I have no doubt I'll have more questions when the box is out .All the best.

Ideally it should come out with the gearbox. I made a simple bracket to hold the TC into the gearbox, similar to the LR tool.

As long as you don't up end the box and shake it, it will stay in place!!

Hi, thanks I had seen it mentioned in the video that @andyfreelandy posted & I'll have to knock something up for reassembly but was hoping I didn't need one for disassembly. I'll see how it goes, hopefully at the weekend when I can get some help.

I'll try not to. I've still got a couple of avenues to explore for an engine crane which by the looks of it will make life a lot easier .
