going to run diesel purge from a glass jar using feed and return pipes.when i disconect & reconect feed pipe air will enter it will this be bleed out by the lift pump? and will 1 liter be too much or more the better?

Dont worry, turn off engine when purge almost gone dont expose ends of pipes before that. After turned off reconnect fuel pipe bnajos, pour rest of purge in tank and fire her up she will be fine.
