Hi,

Following a hard start problem with my Freelander TD4 I had two injectors changed after being identified with a leak back problem and the car starts fine now.

Does anyone know if the ultrasonic cleaning would solve this problem or not (assuming being clogged with residues) or is that something more to do with the internals of the injectors?

I am just thinking about sending the removed ones to an ultrasonic cleaning specialist to have them as spares in case any of the original ones develops a similar fault in the future.

Regards.

Its internal seals that fail. You could get the old one's refurbed, the firm we use charge around £80 for a full refurb or £65 to just sort out leak back problems.
