diesel gearbx oil cooler fan?

just clocked a gearbox oil cooler (P38 diesel) with a fan on it!
was this a mod or standard fit?
I dont have one on my bus!!

Don't know about the other newish gearboxes, but R380s have an oil pump and the connections for a cooler are there.

its the fan on the cooler that throws me, mines an automatic.
cooler under the bumper but with no fan. For hot countries maybe??
