Dickie Seats in a 300TDi

Hi Everyone,

I have just bought an M Reg 300 TDi 3 door Disco but it only has 5 seats...... I occasionally need 7, so can I retro fit the 2 rear dickie seats, what bit's would I need and is it a relativley straight forward job.??? Can i buy a complete kit or is this an E-Bay/ Breakers job.??? I know that this has probably been covered somewhere before but I have searched the forum and can't see it anywhere.!!! Just remember that once you add the extra 2 seat you must inform your insurance that the car is now a 7 seater, this will slightly increase your premium due to there are more passengers that could be injured in a crash....

I believe a breakers would be your best bet, the seats just bolt in to the gaps in the back and the lap belt are bolted to the seat frames, simple matter of remove the storage tray and boltiing in.

Just make sure you get ALL the fittings when you buy a set ,as missing brackets etc can soon mount up the cost.
Try an ebay seller called landysom hes pretty good and seems to have them quite regular

Thanks for the quick replys fellas, I take it that all the fixing points are already in situ behind the existing panels.?? Will I need to buy new trim panels or do they just fit in place of the storage that's already there.?? Sorry if this is all obvious.!!!!!!

All the mountings are already in place. once you remove the storage bins the seats will bolt straight in. Make sure you get the seatbelts with the seats.

Let me know when you get it done as I know someone who might have your storage bins off you if you have no further use for them.
