Defender wiper switch hardwire

Currently on holiday in Beulah (wales) and my wiper switch has packed up on my 1988 110.

Trying to find a part, but if all else fails, is there a way to ‘hotwire’ the switch?

Remove steering cowl and find the block connector to the wiper switch.
Find the live wire & find the earth so you don’t short things out.
Bridge the live to wiper motor

You could also remove the cover of the wiper motor, there's a permanent live there (green). Short it with a bit of wire to one of the other wires.
