Defender load space question

Hi guys

In the process of doing some insulation and carpeting In the back of my ex mod 110. Anyone able to shed some light on what these pairs of screw holes are used for? There are four pairs of holes down each side.

I need some tie down points in the back and was wondering if they could be used in some way.

Could use those I would have thought, they could have been for anything though. My ex-mod has all sorts of weird holes and mounts drilled in it

They're Rivnuts so anyone could have put them in for anything ... They ain't standard ..

I have similar in my 90.

iirc, they had side facing seats bolted to them.
