Before I make an expensive mistake, has anyone gone down this road
before recently?

Marge's sunroof was gummed up with what looks like acrylic bath sealant
when I got her, hiding a split or twenty in the seal round the glass.
The rubber bit that fits into the roof is OK though.

Paddocks were no help, but there is a seal listed on John Craddock's
site:

RTC5942 RUBBER SURROUND SEAL SUNROOF 90-110.1987 £ 45.23

It looks right, but that's an awful lot for a bit of rubber
(+VAT+carr.). Does anyone know what it is or has bought one?

Marge is a 1988 110 CSW, and the sun roof is a genuine Land Rover badged
one, but I'm not sure if it's factory or dealer-fitted. It's hinged at
the front, with a fold-over interlocked handle at rear (green slidey
thing to lock it in different amounts of opening and red one to release
it so you can stick your head out).

Yes, I am going to ring Craddocks too...

Regards,

Simonm.

Thanks very much for confirming this.

I really must do it soon. Smallest daughter complained yesterday that it
was now dripping _hot_ water onto her knee (the weather had markedly
improved by early afternoon).

Endless variety, Land Rovers.
