it was on the news today there is a company that have brought a few new defenders and take the old engine out and put a super charged engine complete with a auto box if you want one which takes it from 0 to 60 in 5 seconds WOW! and it is only £150,000 any body got 149,999.99p spare?

Somebody will buy them.....my guess is they will go to the Middle East, where £150,000 is pocket change, and they will pay anything to have a unique vehicle.
A standard Mercedes G-Wagon costs £80,000

Yeah I saw a few of em at LRO really nice looking but £150k price tag is just stupid. You can buy a brand new Bowler EXR-S with all the extras for less than that.

At the end or the day is still a bloody Defender, it will still leak, still creak, still handle like a narrow boat.

I worked out you could build your own to a similar spec for less than £20k inc a donor landy.

The Arabs don't care about that, they want it in their garage and the cost is of no concern.
I am not saying it's wrong.....hey, if you are on $10,000,000 a week then why not. One Saudi Prince has 2,000 cars in his underground compound including l believe seven McLaren F1's valued now at $4,000,000 each.
There's a team of British mechanics employed to look after them....most are never driven.

Its not, those are all purpose built for the film and will be on display at Bond In Motion in Covent Garden after the film release till December.

This is very true. Spoke to Nene Overland at LRO who built the most fu cking hideous thing I have ever seen, let alone a ****ty Landy. Sold to an Arab for £70k, pocket change.
