Defender door handle.

I hope someone can help.

I have repaired my defender doors thanks to the guides on this site

Unfortunatley whilst doing this I have managed to bugger up various parts in the door namely the orange clip at the back of the handle, the handle and bent the wire that goes from the internal door handle to the latch..

Anyway I am buying some new locks (thanks to thieving little b*****ds) and am going to buy a new handle.

Can anyone tell me if the orange little clip at the back of the lock is available on its own or if I have to buy a whole new mechanism.

Thanks for trying but its an orange clip behind the button of the door handle, I'm going to take it to bits and if I can't fix it photograph it and repost, thanks for trying anyway.

Thanks, but I sorted it, bit the bullet and bought a new handle from rimmers, came complete with said clip. Both doors repaired and new locks!!

So do you now have an extra key? one for the doors and one for the ignition?

Yes I always had 2 keys, but a week after buying it someone tried to nick it and buggered up the door lock. So when I repaired the bottoms of the doors I replaced the barrels. Got rear door to do yet, but I bought 3x locks from rimmers so at least all the doors will be on same key.
