.... are another bit that seems to be frightfully expensive if one goes
for Landy originals. It's reasonable I suppose, as the things are
fragile and big and presumably not needed in the same quantities as,
say, brake shoes.
Previous owner of Marge had a nice couple of Dobermans but which were
apparently rather 'chewy', so I've got nastyily remodelled door cards
all round.
I'm wondering about using aly chequer-plate, as it ought to be
reasonably lightweight and durable, but I'm wondering too if flatness is
not good (are there sticky-out bits in the doors, or sticky-in bits in
the car to cause problems). I know you can do this nicely at the back,
but what about the side doors, especially the front pair?
Can the team suggest tidy, not-to-upset-her-indoors, and
not-too-expensive alternatives? Bestest of all, is there a nice chap
selling a kit (Richard?). Before anyone says, that hardboard with peg
holes or simulated tiles is right out!
Regards,
Simonm.
