Hi there

I've just joined the forum and don't currently own a Land Rover. I'm hoping to find a Defender Camper of some sort so any tips would be welcome. Although an ex military ambulance would be ideal, they are outside my budget.

Great to be here and looking forward to my first Defender!

Plenty of buying advice in the tratter section. Have you considered a roof rack and a decent roof tent and then kitting the back of the defender out

Thanks for the link... very interesting.

Yes a roof tent is a definite posability. As with everything there are pros and cons. It would be a more manageable, mobile set up but as I have winter in the Alps on my to do list, it wouldn't be as comfortable. I like the look of the box type roof tents, very neat.
