Happy new year.
Hoping someone can help. The alarm on my My 2007 (puma) defender has stopped working and so have the key fobs. I can open the car door manually with the key, but there is no red light from the alarm flashing. But when I try and start the car, the alarm goes off (engine immobiliser).
Because there is no flashing alarm light, the alarm is not armed - as I can open the door with the key and the alarm is not working.
I have tried entering the EKA code, but mine ends in a "0" - how do I enter that? I have read the manual, but does not mention how to input a "0" via the ignition key sequence.
Is it a fuse? Seems odd, both my key fobs won't work (battery in one of them is only 5 months old), car was fine yesterday and locked it with the key fob. Came to it this morning, and nothing....weird.
Any help would be appreciated.
