Morning all,

I've recently arrived in Kampala, Uganda and have brought myself a fairly old 110 Defender (approx 1996), for my work mainly based in rural areas visiting farms.
The main drawback is it seems that previously owners have trampled all over the roof and split the roof seams. Rubber seals, drain channels etc also look pretty tired. So when it rains, it does so inside as well.
I'm thinking to remove, dismantle and refit the existing roof but have no experience of this.
Is it a fairly easy task, any pitfalls to be aware of and what rubbers / seals should I source before refitting. Also any preference on silicones / mastics to use before re-riveting the seams etc.
I'm also planning on replacing the alpine window rubbers - is this fairly straightforward?
I have people coming from the UK quite soon, so I'm hoping to load their suitcases with all the bits and bobs I need!!
Any help grateful received.
Many Thanks,
John
