deestone extragrip tyre change

I tried today to get the tyre or even one side of tyre off rim to install another tube
It’s deflated off , away from the inner bead but so stiff a 2’ crow bar won’t touch it
Has anyone changed one by hand before with levers
Can a tube be inserted without getting one side off wheel
I’ve seen u tube vid with some bloke changing a big tyre but sidewalls look so flexible
Any tips or is it garage job

Not sure what you mean. Is it trouble with breaking the bead or actually removing the tyre from the wheel well.

No, but I have given up and taken one to a tyre place. And that was an easier tyre.

landrover wheels need the tyre to be removed off the inside . you will never get it off the outside

Surely that's the other way round. Off the outside 1st the outside being the good side

Edited above , bead broken both sides

MARK nice set of wheels..

is the reason for that , that the bead on the inner wheel is different each side can’t see well on the pics

Thats a a soft walled tyre bending easily when he stamped on it, nice to see he pulled tube out with one side off , so may go back in same way, the inner rims look like the differ each side

Not my wheels just downloaded pic to show as you said that the rim shelf where the bead goes is narrower on the outside edge and easier to get the lever under the bead. I assume in that video he does it on the inner side so any damage or paint removal will be on the inside.

I would agree, I also think it comes off the front as the shoulder is narrower so you require less flex in the side wall to push it into the central well to give the clearance to get it off the rim. I have not changed a deestone but have removed the original Goodyear xtra they are based on but I have a set of 3ft leavers I use for the tractor.
I have found with tyres if I am struggling the problem is usually my technique rather than the tyre. Soft modern radials you can get away with poor technique. But a large crossply tractor tyre you need the correct technique or you you struggle a lot and still fail. I would watch some videos on hgv tyre fitters. And try and copy their lever technique I found it makes a huge difference just slightly changing the location and angle and with practice you get better at making it easier for yourself.
