Hi all, i know this is stupid, but,,

i have a dead battery... connected a good one to try jump it.. and got a Key code Lockout !!

i belive i need to wait 30-45 mins for this to clear ?

do i need to enter the EKA code to start the car after this ( ermm i don't have it as i just transferred ownership,, and never got around to calling the dealer)..

or as i have the fob etc.. can i just open the locks with the fob.. and it should start ?

or do i need to re-sync the fob again ??

it's a P38 1999 DSE if that makes any difference

thanks in advance

If the battery went dead when the car was locked with alarm active, the alarm thinks the battery has been disconnected and has armed the anti theft. You will need the EKA code to switch it off.

AHHHH.... thanks for the replies guys... i found another thread in the mean time which worked..
so...

holding down LOCK button, insert key in drivers lock, unlock and hold for 5 seconds
remove key
open door
insert into ignition ( but don't start)
remove key from ignition
lock doors with remote, unlock with remote

and all is well !!

yep ! and I'm straight onto the EKA code from the stealer tomorrow

thanks as ever again to everyone
