Hi,
Have got a little, no actually a very annoying problem. Every time i select a D then R or any combination from start up (300tdi auto) the dashboard fuse blows.

I have no idea why? The only two sources i can think of are; the reversing lights dont seem to work at the moment (but i assume they are on a different circuit) and I have just re-wired in my CB radio again. I have used a power source coming from behind the map pocket in the roof. I have wired it in before and it was fine (this time soldered it in properly). Could this be on the same circuit?

Any ideas would be great as at the moment i cant read any of the dials!

Cheers!

Silly but mine was doing the same - blowing fuses and the lights would go out...it turned out to be the glove box light - on same circuit - kept shorting out.... remove it and tape up the terminals.

Hope that helps.

Craig

Thanks Craig, though unfortunatly that's not the issue.

Just did another test and found that with the engine off and on, its only when I select R (Reverse) that the fuse blows. Also just checked the reverse tail light bulbs and both are fine (though they stopped working a few weeks ago for some reason).

I have also checked the rear light lense fuse which is also fine.

ahhhhh, any ideas.

Cancel my last, just figured it out. Turns out that one of the wires that i was using to power my CB was shorting out and blowing the fuse. No idea what they were for. They are 3 wires which are black, white and gray that come out by the power sunroof switches in the front. Oh well, all's fixed now!
