Dash Voltage Stabilizer ??

Hi

I know what these look like but i dont have one !

Do i need one ?
What do they do ?
What connects to and from it ?

He does a line in replacment ones for a price.

His are good cuz he builds them into the original casing. The one I got off ebay is a bit 'vulnerable' looking....................not that I've got around to fitting it yet mind!

Oh, & they stabilise the voltage so yer instruments read accurately.....ish. The originals are simple bi-metal strips & don't take kindly to bumping about in a Land Rover, aftermarket replacements are soild state.

Usually if you don’t have a one fitted when you turn the ignition on the gauge needles jump, when fitted they slowly rise.
Early models didn’t have them and you couldn’t read the gauges when going over bumpy ground
