Just put a servo on my Series 3 single circuit braking system. Well pleased that they are super sharp but they are so sharp the back wheels lock up causing the back end to step out. I have tried adjusting them off but they still lock up. What have I done wrong or does anyone have any pointers.
Cheers.

im not too sure, but dont the models with servos have a compensator for the rear end, fitted somewhere?

Hmm, the saga continues! My servo only has attachment for a single brake line. I have looked at Paddocks and DLS but cannot see any listing for any sort of shuttle valve. Does anyone have any part numbers???

I think when the Series III went to dual line servo brakes, there was a European directive that insisted that the front brakes were more powerful than the Back, to avoid the rears locking before the fronts which they would if they were the same size. As the front is under more load than the rear under braking, therefore making the rear lighter and more likely to lock. That's why the 88" went to 11" drums on the front and still 10" on the rear. Changing to 11" front drums should solve your problems.

Thanks guys
I think I understand and what you say spyderman makes sense (although you have too many fronts) but I have done something a bit silly.
The landy I got the bits from is now the size of a small fridge so do I now need to hunt down
a set of 11 drums and will they fit on my 10 inch 2a axle's?

Sorry Clivee, I've edited my post and sorted my Fronts & Backs out.
I think the 11" Drums should go on complete, but you will need Dual Lines plus the Balancer Valve.

I already have 11 inch drums on the front and the backs still out brake the front. I had a rumage around me garage today and found an old brake bias valve off a mini. Gonna put that in the circuit to the back brakes and use it to adjust the pressure. Will let ya know how I get on!!!

Sorted! put a brake bias valve on yesterday and the effect is awesome! I can simply turn down the pressure to the back via a valve in me seat box. The brakes are now truly amazing and i can reccomend the upgrade to everyone. The landy even outbrakes me 04 Laguna which has discs all round!
Cheers.
:D
