me again...:p

I am going to see a tax exempt landy tomorrow with a view to buy ,of course it has no mot ,but I was just thinking about the engine it has ....

What the hell is a daihtsu ?

R these engines any cop?

And what would you expect to pay for a fully mot`d tax exempt landy?

I know it a like bit of string and I don`t know if it`s lwb or swb yet...:D

Good engines work well in a 2A ran one for years the Landy is now having a chassis / body rebuild by a neighbour. Stood for 2 years as it is taking a long time, once the diesel was through started on the button.
Mine was a 2.5 normal aspirated diesel, parts could be obtained no problem and it was much better tha the original asthmatic Landrover diesel.

no mot and with the wrong injun?
not a lot.

12 months mot and the right injun?
twice as much.

DAIHATSU all the way. excellent engines, even better if mated to the landy gearbox, if its got its original box speed will only be about 60 ish but power and acceleration is very good. got daihatsu's in both my series 1's.

i had a 1989 range rover that i put the 2.8 intercooled daihatsu engine in ,i ran it for 4 years with not one problem, wish i still had it now
