Hello all, so I recently replaced the fuel injector pump on my D90, thought I followed all the right procedures in putting it back on. Tried starting it and was cranking the engine several times. Had someone else crank the engine while I tried listening to the engine, didn't hear any hissing sounds or anything. No leaks out of any of the pipes, seem to have good airflow and yes, a full tank of diesel. Ended up killing the battery twice. The engine will turn over, but I'm not getting any sort of coughing sound or anything to indicate it wants to start up. Looking for any suggestions other than get rid of the TD! haha

Most likely a timing issue, it can be difficult to get it right. If you can see fuel getting to the injectors, there's not much else it could be if it was running ok.

When ever I've done stuff like that I've ended up using child start spray just to get it started, TD engines are particularly pants at bleeding themselves and experience has taught me that's the easiest way to sort it. No doubt someone will be along some chomping on about using easy start but it's always worked for me.
