D4 rear door problem.

Daughter has a Disco 4. One of the several problems on the vehicle is that the rear offside door won’t open using the handle from the outside. Furthermore, the central locking doesn’t lock this door. Is this a known problem? I’m assuming the two problems are connected. Any hints on how to get the door card off so that I can take a look and see what’s happening.
