hi folks , i needed a cycle carrier for my d2 and was struggling to find one at a reasonable price that could be used while towing my caravan [ ie lift the bikes high enough to clear the tow ball ] and not be held on by a spiders web of straps that are frowned upon while driving on the continent,
the only ones i could find cost a fortune so i made this myself and it worked well , so i share it with you .......
i used 2 old locking wheel nuts welded to some inch tube , remove the two wheel nuts from the top of the spare wheel screw on the left one first then the right , bring the left one down to lock under the right hand ,

i am sure lots of you can weld better than me , but its just an idea , and being on the spare wheel it opens with the door! i am sure it would fit others , the dimensions are down to you so it will fit your bikes

have fun mel owen
