There's no choke on your car. It could be that the engine coolant temp sender has seized. Is the car hard to start when hot?

hi classicmac just another one to mull around you say it starts ok until warmed up and then plays up when braking have a look at the vacuum pipe to your servo if it has one check for an air leak also does it have a one way valve in the air pipe again thats if its got one tis a fault ive found in the past on several makes of car hope this helps

If the car has ABS, it can not be the brake servo or it's vacuum hose there - it does not have one.

A vacuum leak elsewhere is also a suitable candidate, but I'd check the engine coolant temp sender first.
