Hi, hopefully someone can help as I've searched and can find an old part number, but not a current one and not a source of them...

I need to replace relay 12 in my BECM as it's not working and the rear demister and one of the rear windows has stopped working.

It may just be a bad solder joint or it may just need a squirt of contact cleaner, but if I'm going to the hassle of removing the BECM from the car and taking it apart, I want a spare relay just in case! :)

Any ideas?

Or anyone got an old knackered BECM they would part with cheaply?

tnx

Nik

Heated rear screen is relay 11. Nothing to do with windows.

Ah, check, because my left rear window comes up with exactly the same error message as my rear screen. ie "Fuse 12 fail" and fuse 12 hasn't failed.

I did think it was odd, but all the other 3 windows work fine....

Any ideas on that one?

That's fuse 12 not relay 12. Take it that it's the L/H window that does not work then. Fuse 12 feeds relay 11 and relay 2. What relay 2 is for is know only to Land Rover and the lord if you are that way inclined. But has to be for window if both have gone off maybe fuse 12 is not as healthy as you think it is.

Corroded BECM connectors, bad earths, broken wire between B post and the door etc.

Why would all the other windows work? Don't tell me Landrover have 3 windows on one fuse and one on its own! :)

It hadn't gone when I last checked it, but I haven't checked it since the rear window won't move. I'll check...

But... I still need that part no. for relay 11 when you get chance Datatek. No rush... Fancy selling me that BECM? :)

Owners manual:- Fuse 2 RH rear window & seat heaters
Fuse 12 LH rear window and heated rear screen
Fuse 22 front windows:D

Relay 11 is Siemens V23076-A3001-C132

You wouldn't want to buy that BECM, it's knackered and I paid too much for it. I bought it for experimental purposes, I knew it was dead when I bought it.

Fuses 9 and 22 L/H/F, R/H/F. Fuse 12 L/H/R. Fuse 2 R/H/R.

Different to mine, perhaps it depends on year? 9 is front audio amps and doors on mine.

9 and 22 feed outstations in front doors then window power comes from outstations as i understand it. So yes audio amps power may come from 9.

But fuse 22 is shown as both front windows only. It matters not, his problem is the rear window:)

I didn't pay particular attention after noting that 9 and 22 both fed the outstations. And noting that power for front windows came from outstations. If you look at power window schematic it is unclear which fuse feeds what. Just that they go there. Even fuse details just show them going to outstations. But as you say academic for a fault on the rear windows. :)

What edition of RAVE are you using Keith?

I was looking at the 99 version in the copy of RAVE covering 99 to end of production.

Mine is 99/2000 so maybe different. Does not show 9 and 22 going individually anywhere just to outstations. Where did you get that copy from?
I didn't look at the detail Tony, just the fuse list in the owners manual where it say's fuse 22 LH & RH front doors (windows only) 9 it gives as front door audio amps. that's how it is on my car. Looking at the detail diagrams is, as you say, not a lot of help, just shows 9 & 22 going to outstations.
