Hello Everyone

I think I need a new coolant temp sensor on my 52 Range Rover 4.4 V8 Petrol. Turn the key (not starting the engine) with a cold engine and the temperature shoots up into the red. I've had a look at the wiring and can't see any damage.

I've spoken to Land Rover who have quoted £41.70 for MEK105210, BMW have quoted based on a X5 £20.90 for 1621703993. Can anyone confirm if these parts are the same? Normally I speak to an old guy in parts at BMW that saves me a small fortune by telling me if it's the same on both Range Rover and X5 due to covid I've not seen him (hope he's ok) in ages. I don't want to spend twice the amount if its the same part.

Many thanks

Cheers Mark that it incredibly helpful. Can I ask where you got the information, is it publicly available?

Many thanks
You can try mister auto Co UK.
Euro car parts only give their own references... Naughty really...
