Yesterday the Discovery started getting very hot and getting down on power (felt like the turbo wouldn't spool up, couldn't get up a hill after a while and had to stop to let it cool) until I let it cool down and then it would drive like normal again for a while. I found an inter cooler hose was split (entering the inter cooler from turbo side) which I will be replacing tomorrow and I believe this was the main source of the issues yesterday (air not properly getting properly cooled and throwing hot air into the engine, making it not run properly and read very hot?).
However, this morning I went to check the coolant - empty reservoir. Topped it up, and everything I poured in came out the bottom
.
I haven't had a proper look yet but would welcome some ideas as to what could have gone wrong based on yesterday's symptoms. I'm hoping a coolant hose has just come undone or split with the added pressure, but I'm guessing I could be looking at something more serious like a thermometer or gasket? For reference, the coolant was pouring into the ground just behind the diff, though obviously that doesn't mean that much, could have run there from nearly anywhere.
Thoughts?
Cheers,
