compresor warning light

im realy paronoide about my eas, nothing wrong with it except its getting old! so i was thinking the other day about puting a light in the dash to indicate when the compresor is running!
would maybe help diagnose problems before they became a problem?
was thinking maybe use one of the unused lamp holders in the cluster?
good idea/bad idea? any one think of any problems i might encounter?

Don't think that is really required do you? Just keep the car maintained.

like i say maybe im paranoid lol
would help detect a leak as soon as it appers though once i learn the normal pattern of when it should be on and when it shouldnt ect..
