HI there,

Having trouble with the clutch in my Disco 2, sometimes I have to switch the engine off, and put is in gear start it with the clutch up and that seems to clear it.

'making the vehicle jolt forward',
by starting it in gear/with clutch engaged, fix a low fluids/worn clutch issue.

Feels more like SYNCRO, something in the way, that gets jolted back into position, for the rest of the journey
What could this be?

Could be a lots of things, but oil on the clutch plate making it stick could cause it also
The spigot bearing on the primary motion shaft could be grabbing, and last but not least the torsion springs
On the clutch centre plate could be broken and stopping the plate freewheeling when the clutch is down,
Anyway to my mind it’s a gearbox out job to check, unlikely to be synchromesh on box,
