Clutch Series 2a

Time to change the clutch on my h reg series 2a petrol as the slipping is getting bad now.

How can i tell if it is a 9 inch or 9 1/2 inch plate before i start as dont want to leave bits all over the place while i wait for delivery of parts.

Also do i just change the friction plate or do i have to change the pressure plate as well.

not sure how to tell which is which, you could always just pull the box back and measure it. it would of course mean takin the floor out and droppin the props. most people change friction plate,pressure plate and release bearing when they are in there but you can just do the friction plate if every thing else is ok.
if it is slipping real bad then there is a good chance you have gubbed the pressure plate.

your local supplier should have both in stock, check first though.
unless money is really tight, then always change all 3 items. you dont wanna do the feckin job again.
i did just that about 40 yrs ago when i didnt know any better. i never did it again!
