My clutch had been making so odd noises recently and the pedal was getting stiff. About four years ago I stripped out the pedal box ( pedal had seized) pushed out the pivot shaft cleaned everything up unblocked the oil ways and refitted, all good. Yesterday I stopped the open our gate got back in and the pedal was solid, engine running I can go through all the gears but nothing, Q do you think the master cylinder has seized. I haven't looked at it yet so would be interested what somebody with more experience would suggest.
Thanks Ian.Fewtrell

If you can get all the gears with the engine running and pedal is solid, it would suggest to me the clutch hydraulics are stuck down/on.
Had same recently on my series as the slave seized at the end of its stroke.

Hi, I now have removed the slave cylinder, the brake pedal is now moving freely and I used compressed air to push out the slave cylinder piston, no signs of seizing. the rod from the clutch into the slave cylinder has no resistance, not moves in and out easily, Q is this ok or do I now need to remove the gearbox.
Thanks Ian.
