Clunking when the clutch is fully of

when you lift the clutch pedle up from pulling of and changing gears theres a clunk as if theres some play in some thing the only thing iv noticed is when the car is sat on flat ground and you get hold of the front prop and twist it side to side you can hear a little clunk coming from the o\s front swivle as if theres play in there could that be it and would it need a new swivle or could some things be adjusted also that swivle is leaking grease thanks.
