clunck from front wheel

My 200tdi is due its MOT, needs new sills and a couple of brake pipes, no problem, but theirs a clunck noise coming from the front drivers side wheel area but only when i turn hard left. Checked brakes and discs, spring and shocks all ok. Any ideas?

almost sure to be a cv joint.also worth checking to see if the bearings are on there way out.not a hard job to do just a bit lengthy.

i am fairly sure the bearing is ok, will it fail MOT on the cv joint?

could be pan hard bushes they clunck if worn, get some one to rock the steering with engine off then get yer sen under motor and listen you should see the movement if they are worn let alone hear it.hope this helps good luck fella

I had something similar to this, it turned out to be the roll bar bushes. replaced them for about £4 and all sorted... see if there's play in the roll bar?
