Close encounter

Been to see a mate this afternoon & on the way back did a couple of easy lanes.
Half way down one, a couple biker's came up behind. I pulled over & let them by, I was only doing about 10mph but they come past at about 30 & pi**ed off into the distance.

If anything was coming the other way I would have been doing some first aid.

It then started me thinking, has anybody on here had a close encounter / call with bike's, horse's or other 4x4's coming the other way ?

A long long time ago I bumped onto a disused railway line, no tracks, just a kind-of dirt track when two idiots on a dirt bike hit me and went over the top and into bushes. No injury but a bit of damage to both vehicles.

Zillions of years back doing a lane and a landy came over the top and got an axle twister a few feet in front of where I was stuck in a bog with an axle twister!

We were both in Series and after having a good laugh we helped each other out accompanied by the obligatory mud flinging, and generally having a great time doing it!

That's just the way things were back then!
