Hi,
Is the clonking window that I have seen a lot of, easy to fix?
When you hold the switch in the up position, once the window is up it clonks repeatedly.
Rather than the fix of let go of the button, is it easy to fix. The display was showing Warning: Passenger window no set.

Thanks.

It could either be:
Windows not set, try winding windows up and down to there full extent a few times
untill the car is happy and the warning stops.
or
The window actuator bars are worn out, this is pretty common on older cars, the
bars are made of pressed steel and the geared teeth that are driven by the motor
become rounded off, allowing the motor to 'jump' (making the clonking noise).
If its this, take off the door panel and drill out the 6 pop rivets on the actuator arms,
remove the wiring loom and motor and replace actuator unit with a new one, refit
everything and reset the window. Good as new.
I think they're around 80 quid? and dont forget to buy the new pop rivets.
