Mindful of the fact values of the best examples of LR classics are on the rise I've decided to increase the 'agreed value' figure on my classic car policy next month. My insurer, or at least the advisor I spoke to today, was about as useful as a chocolate tea-pot - so has anyone experienced getting a real-world valuation from an auction house or a similar? Obviously they will charge for their service, which I'm quite prepared for, but would they only do it for a vehicle that is being entered into an auction they are conducting?
