Tesco are still doing 2 5 litre containers for £10 here, although someone told me farmfoods works out at 89.5p/litre, not confirmed this myself though

What I would like to know. Veg oil was cheep a few years ago before all this kicked off i.e. sticking it in your tank. So who is getting the extra money now?

Crude oil prices kinda set the price. As it is used in bio diesel, paints, make up, lubricants, and in plastics just to name a few products made from vegetable oils. have a look here and see

But the prices went up almost overnight from 69p to about 129pl so someone is making a killing.

Stores will sell what they call a lose leader on products to get you in the store. And other items will have price increases to cover the difference
could be stocks of oil are low as end of season waiting for new crop oil. And crude oil has gone up this last week

tis true about what thor listed. Our local rapeseed farmer has a **** crop last year. Prices went through the roof.

Looks like oil will be lower in the end of 2014. Sugar company fooking with cheap prices for there crops. Many of them are talking about growing rape next year. they have to plant in august
