I'll be looking at getting Insa Dakar muds when I get my 90, similar tread pattern to the BFG but a lot cheaper, don't have the range of sizes though as really I was after a 255/85 for the height but it seems only Bf Goodrich do this size and none of the cheaper makes :(

Ive seen remolds in 285/75 16 with this tread pattern;

That's a little on the wide side for me thanks, I want something that will fit with no alterations to the body or too much faffing with the lock stops. 255/85 seemed to give me the right size as well as a bit of height for ground clearance and the all important cosmetic side of things.

However 265/75 being a much more common size I think that is gonna be what I have to go for.

If someone just says "BF Goodrich will be much better" then I can persuade myself to spend more money.

Hint hint...

i concur even more. Buy new and when half worn buy more new ones and sell the others on Ebay. you will get 1/2 the price of the new ones back. genius. that is if you manage to wear them down. Im looking at upgrading 4 of my 255/85's for new ones soon.

I'm on my third set of BFG AT's doing exactly this ... £400 ish for four new fitted locally via blackcicles, run last lot for ~ 25ooo miles and sold 'em on ebay for £ 250!! .. made the 'real' price of that set £150, or less than £ 40 per tyre ... ;)
