Chassis

hi all, all stripped, we’ll nearly. Looks like a new chassis. Any one any recommendations. Would consider a second hand one, what’s people’s thoughts ? Thanks in advance.

New galvanised one if your keeping it.
Don't buy a second hand one you will/could have the same problems as you have now.

Is yours passed saving, if not mend then have it galvanised

Hi, thanks for the reply, I am not sure If i will keep it for long after it is finished, I will get a new galvanised chassis , although this is a project to keep me busy in retirement , will go to the landy show this weekend to see if I can pick one up.

Hi, thanks for the reply, It has already had several patches, and als needs outriggers.I will get a new galvanised chassis , although this isa project to keep me busy in retirement , will go to the landy show this weekend to see if I can pick one

The thing is will you want to re-fit all the old parts, I couldn't & ended up doing a full rebuild with all new parts
which was much more satisfying when building it & standing back to admire it.

Hi, are you saying your old body parts would not fit on the new chassis ?
The body work on mine is really good, engine and box runs sweet, so my plan was new chassis and suspension, retrieved and respray

No far from it, everything was a perfect fit. I replaced everything mechanical so I ended up with almost a brand new vehicle
I also took it back to bare metal & resprayed it, time scale wise it took me 6 months.
