Changing speedo on p38

Ive come across a 2000 onward speedo cluster, think would make a nice upgrade. Would it reset the mileometer or is that all stored in the becm???

The mileage is stored in both.
If you change the speedo cluster it will take the highest it finds and store the new mileage in both.
