i am going to change my PAS pump for a spare one i have as the old one is noisy (high pitched noise) on my 4.0 ltr petrol 2000 Thor P38 - do i need to drain fluid before i remove it ? RAVE does not indicate this so i think not however how much fluid could i lose, is it under pressure even with engine off?

thanks

Not under pressure with engine off. You will lose what is in tank unless you catch it. A few rags to soak up spillage is all that is needed. Make sure you bleed it properly by turning steering and holding hard on full lock for a couple of seconds in both directions.
