changing front seats

I'm 6'4" and looking to get into a 130 double cab and found space a bit tight!!! has any one moved the seat rails back and created enough space to get your foot off the accelerator and onto the brake. any advice would be welcome- cheers

I' 6'4" too, so I know the problem!

I raised my seats a bit higher and 3" further back by using a length of 1" box-section steel bolted down to the original seat bolt holes and up through the seat frame. I also fitted a smaller steering wheel - a big improvement.





Then, at a later date, I fitted comfier seats (these were from a Subaru Imprezza)

I'm 6'6".

My solution was to remove the seats and drill holes 1" further back. I then cut through the lip behind the seats and made up a bracket using 2" angle iron that that the back of the seat bolts into.

This was in the days before Mud Rails...

eben any chance of some pictures of that fella as i am the same height as you and weigh in at a slender 19" 4" !!!!!!!

Ditto 6'4". I used Mud rails.

Easy to fit and work a treat (reduce legroom in the rear though). Cubby box a bit less useful as an arm rest though as it's now too low.

Fitted a new one from Mobile Storage Systems and had to raise it and move it back.

Is there less room in a double cab than in a hardtop defender? I'm 6'4" and there's plenty of room in my 110.
