Change Green Temp Sensor No Change!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Im having problems with my temp gauge, works went it feels like it, but mostly not at all, changed Green temp sensor (is one wire for ECU and the other for temp gauge?) I havent got the single wire sensor fitted or any spare wire from the loom. Any ideas lads? Cheers Colin

The sensor with 2 wires is for the ECU and the single wire sensor is for the gauge. Looking at the inlet manifold from the front, the ecu sensor is on the right and the gauge sensor to the left and slightly forward of it. They are within a couple of inches of each other
