Hiya folks. Ive got a problem with the central locking on the Strange Rover Pain in the arse 38.
The key fob will unlock, lock, double lock the rear doors and tail gate but not the front doors. The drivers door will open with the key and you can open the passenger door from the inside. It starts and runs ok, no engine immobilised notice.
Any help appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Hi had few problem with the central locking i would say both your front locks are u/s i have just replaced passenger lock on mine because i had what i can only describe as ghost locking, all central locking worked but now and again when driving the central locking would open and shut for no reason, this sometimes happened stationary when working on car, cleaning etc. I tried all the usual, connections, linkages, boot lock, wiring in door post's did get it to stage where it didn't seem to bad, but still happened, then noticed it started to happen that the passenger door lock was not locking when it happened, and if i manually pushed down the drivers door lock all the others locked but not the passenger one although it worked under normal locking, unlocking, again took door panel of checked everything all appeared ok, noticed that when it happened if i pushed down the passenger locked this stopped it, decided bite the bullet brought new passenger door lock all working everything ok !! no problems with central locking anymore. now i have the old passenger door lock that will work albeit that it plays up as stated above, so if you wanted to try it on yours to see if it will work then at least you will know if yours is u/s. happy to send it to you for the postage or you can collect it depending on where you are, only thing i don't know is that if your drivers lock is u/s will it stop the passenger's from working? but sure someone on here will tell you. good luck but sure you can get there in the end. i did thanks to the help and advice on here.
