Castrol GTX 15w40

I'd want to use a 10/40 derv oil if it's low milage or 20/50 if on the higher side of life . My opinion , never touch GTX it's ****te , way to many fancy additives for the 2.5 n/a or turbo engine .
 
well im sure this wont be in for long as i do regular oil changes.

When you say tractor oil for everything!! Do you mean tranny box gear box the lot?

make your own mind up chappy - I only use it because I have it in quantity and I don't do the miles in a landy that I used to do

there's a lot of fuss and hype around about fancy oils, which might be fine and needed in a fancy jap pocket rocket - but in a 20+ year old landy with a semi- agricultural engine ?
 
I understand what you mean and just done a look around reference the tractor oils and it seems it does EVERYTHING - one tin does all. i understand what your saying totally - i do hardly any miles in mine (well its not working at the moment haha)

I will think about giving this a go as im changing every oil in the motor!
