Hi everyone,
Sorry to seem a bit dramatic in my title but I'm currently on the drive with a laptop and a 1995 P38a Range Rover Diesel that I cannot bleed the passenger brake caliper on.
I have just changed the NSF brake caliper as the old one appeared to have siezed (loads of brake dust on the drivers front wheel but nothing on the passenger front and it pulled horribly to the right when braking.
Got the Rave CD out for bleeding the brakes and thought I'd go through the correct process from scratch with it.
Bled the master nipple no worries, then bled the drivers calliper which had a little air in it but when bleeding it I only get about 5mm of pedal travel.
Came to do the passenger front caliper and nothing, we cannot get any fluid out of it. I thought I'd try bleeding the front booster nipple and then go back to the passenger front caliper but when following the rave instructions we get nothing out of the front booster either.
The brakes have always been a bit rubbish on it with very little travel and the ABS light is on so I know there was a problem.
does anyone have any suggestions ASAP as the car is currently immobile on the in-laws drive. Do people think it may be the booster pump and accumulator or do people think it may be the ABS Booster unit (the big block with the reservoir attached)?
Any help will be greatly received!
Andy.
