can someone help me??!!?

i have an m reg, 3.9 litre, es disco

and for some reason it has started missfiring, badly

so far i have checked the spark plugs, oil, and changed the dizzy cap and rotar arm, now am stuck as to what to try,

my garage want to jump in head first and charge me the earth and change the cylinders, but i don't think this is the problem, (new cylinders on only a month ago)

i just wondered if maybe anyone may know anything else i can try before spending a fortune on the cylinders

Try cleaning the carbs and check for split hoses it it's sucking too much air it might run a bit rough.

what dizzy cap have you put on?
i always use genuine only as other makes dont always work sounds daft but true.

yeah i did put an original one on,

the old one was only a bit worn, but i thought it might be worth a bash to try

You didn't mention having changed the plug leads ... that'll be worth a shot.
