can i use 50 /50 vegg + deisel

hI GUYS AND DALLS i have a 2001 td5 ,and am woundering if i can use a mix a 50% mix of deisel and veg oil without any damage to the motor or pump,I know this is old hat to you pro,s but i am used to two wheels ,yes a newbee that wants to learn the way of the landy; may the force be with you regards madbeezer

Not on a T5. Common rail engines don't like it - it will **** your fuel pump and injectors see Diesel Bob Tuning - Vegetable Bob.

Although I know some people disagree, but in my book it's not worth the possible damage. Anyway, at Waitrose veg oil is now more expensive than diesel - Tesco can't be ar behind.
