Hi there,

Well the 300tdi is running fine, still waiting on fluids change as can't burn the Rave CD at home and not got the haynes manual, I want soemthing to follow to make sure I get it 100% right.

Had a good look round the back yeaterday and found that the rear floor panel is badly rusted on the drivers side corner next to the drivers side passenger seat. The surronding body work has some rust but feels solid still, I've used wire wool to clear loose rust and the rear panel is holy! but the surronding area held up ok. Going to treat it with rust preventer stuff.

Can I just replace the floor section? - assunimng when I take it up the cross members are ok (is that the right term).

Also what does the black panel in the middle connect to? It's got a fairly serious number of bolts on!

Thanks folks.

Oh the sound proofing in the back wasn't soaked, a bit of surface damp mostly.
Going to silicone my window seals tommorow.
The rest of the floors are dry. Which was a relief.
